Before you know it, your baby’s hair may need a trim. Either you can be brave and do it yourself at home or go to a salon. Whatever you decide, make sure your child had a good nap and is well rested. Sharp scissors do not mix well with cranky, edgy babies.
Use Professional Scissors: Hair scissors give a much neater cut than kitchen scissors. You can pick up a pair of scissors at any drugstore.
Buckle Her In: Make sure to strap her in to a high chair or booster seat otherwise she will be all over the place.
Skip The Towel: If your baby can’t handle a bib then don’t even try draping a towel over her. Either dress her in an old t-shirt or skip the shirt altogether. After, you can bathe her to get all the little hairs away.
Don’t Soak Her Hair: Use a spray bottle to keep your baby’s hair damp.
Cut It Piece By Piece: Hold part of your child’s hair between your index finger and middle finger, comb the piece straight and cut. Do not cut more than a half inch piece at a time.
