How Do You Bond With Your Baby?

Posted by: Alyson @ 1:12 pm

How do you bond with your babyA recent study showed that it is crucial for a newborn to feel loved by his mom. We asked some mothers what their favorite way to bond with their infant was. Here are some amazing tips from experienced mothers.

“I’m very lucky, and have the pleasure of being a stay at home mom, so my daughter is always with me. From the moment she was born I spoke to her about everything, even though I knew she didn’t know what I was saying. I also really enjoy laying down with her when it’s time for her nap.”

“I recently bought an amazing baby carrier and I love ‘wearing’ my 4 month old daughter. I love that her head is so close to me and i can constantly kiss her. I find that this really helps us bond.”

Maddy K, Texas

Until my son was 7 months old, we both really enjoyed spending time together while I breastfed. We both loved the skin to skin contact. Now that he’s 9 months old he takes bottles but I gently rub his belly while he drinks. He loves it!”

Ashly W, Kentucky

“When my baby was born up until he was mobile, my husband and I gave the baby infant massages. It helped for gas, colic, fussiness, and circulation. It also helped us develop a great relationship.”

Sharon T, New York

‘Both my infant and I loved spending time together while reading books. The minute my 2 year old gets out of the crib in the morning, she grabs a book and runs to my lap so I can read to her.”

Alex D, Colorado

“My best time with my baby is when my other children are asleep. He sits on my lap and we make funny faces and laugh!”

Theresa K, California

“Enjoy your baby, because before you blink, they’re huge!”

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!

When i was first left alone after having my baby, it was SOOO quiet i couldn’t take it. i started talking out loud ot her all the time, about anything at all. Babywearing and reading are also great bonding techniques.
